Guiding Goals

Goals to conserve the areas' natural resources:

bulletTo develop and promote creative approaches to use and manage land for agriculture, forestry, water, wildlife, recreation and community needs.
bulletTo protect the quality of natural resources through education, training, technical and financial assistance.

Goals to enhance the areas' economies:

bulletTo better utilize locally available resources.
bulletTo expand natural resource based opportunities that contribute to economic 
 and social vitality.
bulletTo improve and develop new technologies for agriculture and forestry.
bulletTo achieve balanced development combining natural resource utilization, tourism, industry and commerce.

Goals to develop human and community resources:

bulletTo increase citizen awareness, involvement and effectiveness as the foundation to natural, technical, financial and human resource development.
bulletTo help communities find ways to provide needed facilities, resource recovery and recycling opportunities.

Goals to improve and expand the RC&D process:

bulletTo improve Board and Committee operations.
bulletTo promote use of RC&D process as a rural development vehicle for New Hampshire.
